The inventor of the Denta-Med gel is Dr. Patrick Shanahan. He is a dental graduate from the University of Western Australia. He also has a post graduate qualification in Public Health from the University of Sydney, NSW. Professionally, he has 20 years' experience as a dentist in private practice, and 25 years as an oral health consultant, nursing and dental education, researcher, inventor, and in developing public policy. He is now applying this breadth of expertise to global oral health. He was awarded a Centennial Medal in 2000 by the Prime Minister of Australia for his contribution to the advancement of national oral health. He is an authority on oral health issues and he has appeared in numerous interviews in the national media. Dr. Shanahan is an Executive Director of Oral Care Australia Pty Ltd.
